Karen Shawn, editor of PRISM Interdisciplinary Journal For Holocaust Educators, states that the ultimate goal of Holocaust education should be that we teach the children so that after they leave our classroom, they will want to return to the lessons again, and again, and again as lifelong learners.
Holocaust Education is a journey - to empower students to find their voice(s) in becoming a new generation of upstanders who will step-up and speak-up!

Welcome to the Crossing Lines Community
This blog is a discussion site for our June 20-24, 2011, Summer Satellite. Thanks to the generous support of The Memorial Library, in collaboration with the National Writing Project, we have connected the Area 3 Writing Project and the Northern California Writing Project for an inquiry-based, technology enhanced exploration of resources and strategies for teaching the Holocaust and other difficult topics, such as bullying, racism, and state-sanctioned forced removal and genocide.
